Before you begin: |
• User begins a Business Transfer due to a Change in Legal Entity. |
What happens next: |
• SUITS updates the business based on business rules and marks completes the Change in Legal Entity. • SUITS generates all necessary correspondences. |

Click Business Transfer hyperlink under Experience Transfer Maintenance section. |

Select ‘Change of Legal Entity’ as Business Transfer Type. |

Enter Date of Last Payroll in the Previous Business Information section with format MM/DD/YYYY or with the calendar icon. |

Enter in the Employer Account ID, FEIN, and Effective Date of Change (MM/DD/YYYY) for the new business in the New Business Information section. |

Check the box indicating that you “have examined this application and to the best of [your] knowledge and belief it is true, correct, and complete.” |

Enter the name of the person DEW should contact with question on this account in the First Name and Last Name text boxes. |

Enter the contact’s mailing address, telephone number, and email in the text boxes provided. |

• Must use a physical street address and not a PO Box for the contact’s mailing address. • If the new employer information does not exist, the user will be provided a hyperlink to register the new account information. See Employer Registration process design.

Enter notes regarding the change of legal entity as needed. |

Click the Next button. |
• SUITS saves the data. • SUITS creates the Review Change of Legal Entity workflow for Internal User review if the change of legal entity was submitted by the employer or the authorized agent with the account maintenance role. • SUITS will process the change of legal entity if submitted by Internal User. |
