Journal Voucher Transaction

A Journal Voucher Transaction is a manual transaction that must be filed for any transactions that does not have predefined General Ledger Transaction Item associate with it or the transaction consists of a cumulative (i.e., not on an employer account level) transfer of funds (i.e., moving a lump sum funds from the clearing account to the federal trust fund).

Tax Accounting Transaction

A tax accounting transaction is any financial transaction that occurs in the system. This includes increases and decreases for due and/or payment amounts.

Daily Accounting Transactions Batch

When this batch runs, SUITS retrieves all business transactions that were created after the previous run of the batch job. For every business transaction in the system, this batch job creates employer accounting transactions. Upon the completion of the batch, the Transaction Date is determined, the Posted Date is determined, and the Status of the each employer account transaction is “Posted”.

Rollup Account

A rollup account is an account that is used to track the totals of accounts of a particular type. Each transaction is tracked by source type, the rollup account will track the sum for all applicable source types.
