Before you begin: |
• Employer account exists in SUITS. • Employer is subject to unemployment insurance. • Employer is Contributory. • Employer has a status of ‘Active’. • Internal User have determined all necessary rate class calculation parameters. • Internal User have run the batch job to create, calculate, and pre-populate the percent of taxable wages in tax class 1. |
What happens next: |
• Rate classes for the year have been calculated by SUITS. • SUITS has calculated annual rate for all eligible employers. • SUITS has generated Annual Rate notices. |

• SUITS calculates the rate classes for the year provided. • SUITS displays Rate Calculation Results as part of the Rate Class Calculation Summary. |

Confirm the rate class calculations are correct for annual rating process. |

Update the status to ‘Ready for Batch’ by selecting ‘Ready for Batch’ in the drop down menu. |
|
‘Ready for Batch’ status just allows it to be picked up in the nightly batch process; it doesn’t currently actually trigger the batch job itself on ‘Save’.
Internal User can continue to switch the status between ‘Ready for Batch’ and ‘Pending’ as often as needed. The Rate Status needs to be in ‘Ready for Batch’ for SUITS to process the record in the nightly batch process.
After the nightly batch process runs, the record’s status is updated to ‘In Review’. |

• SUITS runs the batch file at night. • After batch file runs the Rate Status changes to ‘In Review’. • SUITS calculates benefit charges and taxable wages. • SUITS calculates individual account benefit ratio and lower and upper benefit ratio bounds. • SUITS displays the Rate Class Calculation Lookup screen. |
