Create and Maintain Journal Voucher Transactions

Objective(s):

The internal SUITS user updates an existing Journal Voucher Transaction or creates new.

Before you begin:

The internal SUITS user is notified of the need to update an existing Journal Transaction prior to submission or create a new Journal Transaction Record.

What happens next:

The Journal Voucher Transaction Record has been successfully saved.

1. 

Select the Financial Management menu item from the Internal SUITS application.

The Financial Management Dashboard opens.

 

2. 

Select the Journal Voucher menu option.

This display the Journal Voucher Transaction lookup screen.

 

3. 

Enter the search criteria and click Search, if updating an existing Journal Voucher Transaction.

Proceed to step #6 if creating a new Journal Voucher Record.

 

 

4. 

Open the existing configuration by clicking the desired Journal Voucher ID in the Search Results Panel.

The Journal Voucher Transaction record opens. 

 

5. 

Make the necessary updates to the existing record and click the Save button.

SUITS will display a confirmation of the change at the top of the screen.

 

6. 

Click the New button on the Journal Voucher Lookup Screen.

A blank Journal Voucher Transaction record opens.

 

7. 

Enter the required data.

 

 

8. 

Select the GL Account Number and Account Type in the Journal Voucher Information Panel, and click the Add Row button. From the new row you will add the amounts to be adjusted for each account. Repeat for the second GL Account.

 

 

9. 

Click the Save button.

SUITS will display a confirmation of the change at the top of the screen. The system will also generate a new GL Account ID.

 

A new user will be responsible for reviewing and submitting the new Journal Voucher transaction.
