Purpose: The Employer File Protest Wizard allows certain employers and certain SUITS users’ access to file the initial protest against correspondence they have received. For each type of correspondence that is eligible to protest, the employer has specific window of time in which to file said protest. SUITS users will be able to file a protest on an employer’s behalf without restriction of time. The wizard contains the following steps:
1. File Appeal
2. Reason for Protest
3. Additional Representation
4. Review Information and File Protest
5. Confirmation
The following information is needed in order for an employer to file an initial protest against correspondence they have received:
•A reason for the protest
•Information on additional representation, if applicable
•Supporting documentation, if applicable
This wizard is viewable to employers in the SUITS Employer Portal. The initial File Protest hyperlink that directs the employer to this wizard screen is only visible if the ability to protest a correspondence exists.
