• Lien with “Active” status exists on the account. • Staff have selected to manually release a lien. |
What happens next: |
• Lien status is updated to “Released”. • Correspondence is sent to the court(s) and Employer. |

Select Employer Services on the LHS menu, from the Internal Home screen. |

Select the Manage Collection Functions icon. |
SUITS displays Manage Collection Functions options. |

Select the Lien icon. |
SUITS displays the Lien lookup screen.

Enter the Employer ID or use the Icon to search for Employer ID, OR: Search for Stage = Assessment and Status = Eligible. |

Click the hyperlinked search result. |
SUITS displays the Lien Maintenance Screen. |

Select the checkbox for “Release Lien”. |
The “Release Lien” checkbox is selected. |

Select “Reason for release” from the dropdown. |
SUITS displays the selected reason code. |
• “Paid and Satisfied” means the debt covered by lien has been paid. • “Agreed and Settled” means that lien is released as part of agreement. • “Dissolved, Cancelled, and Rescinded” means the lien was filed in error. |

Enter a Release Date for the lien. |
SUITS recalculates the tax rate based on the release date when submitted. (T07) |
This date can be amended after a lien has been released. |

Enter Recording Information for Release for the court(s) listed (optional). |
SUITS displays the release recording information. |
This field is optional and can be amended after a lien has been released. The court does not always send lien release information back to the agency. |

Press Submit. |
•The lien status is updated to “Released”. •Correspondence is sent to the court(s) and Employer. |
