The investigation is either closed or converted to audit.

1. 

From your My Basket, launch the workflow item.

This will bring you to the Review Benefit Redetermination Investigation Maintenance screen.

Please note that there are four possible workflows triggered by the creation of the investigation case. This workflow will be named based on the type of investigation created. This task will focus on the ‘Review Benefits Redetermination Investigation’ workflow.

2. 

Review the Information.

 

Depending on the investigation, various tasks may need to be completed/investigated prior to completing this task. There is no singular set of tasks to be done, as it depends and varies greatly based on the investigation.

3. 

Click the Approve button.

An option on this screen is to convert this investigation into an audit.

Selecting Yes will result in the following:

• The workflow is closed

• The system adds note to the employer’s account

• The investigation status is updated to Request Convert to Audit

• An e-mail is generated through SUITS to the Lead Auditor and the Tax staff that generated the workflow

Selecting No will result in the following:

• The workflow is closed

• The system adds note (category: Field Audit) to the employer’s account

• The investigation status is updated to Complete

• An e-mail is generated to the Tax staff that generated the workflow
