Review Protest Determination

Objective(s):

Once a protest that has been filed has gone through the review process and a determination has been made, another DEW staff member must review the determination, approve or deny it.

Before you begin:

An initial protest has been filed by an employer and a review/determination has been made on that protest be DEW staff

What happens next:

The determination is either approved or denied, and correspondence is sent to the required parties.

1. 

From the SUITS Home screen, launch the ‘Review Protest Determination’ work item.

This opens the Review Protest Determination Maintenance screen.

 

2. 

Review the information on the screen, as well as the attached correspondence. Then enter a Note and click the ‘Approve’ or ‘Deny’ button.

      Approve: Click the Approve button to trigger suits to save the entered notes, send the correspondence to the employer and close out the workflow.

      Deny: Click the Deny button to trigger suits to save the entered notes, close the workflow and generate a ‘Review Employer Protest’ workflow for this protest. Essentially it is sending this protest back to staff to review again.
