Update an Employer’s NAICS Code

Role:

      Internal SUITS user

Objective(s):

The objective of this process is for an Internal User to update an Employer’s NAICS Code on file at the UI agency.

Before you begin:

The Employer has experienced a change in its business operation or objective which will change how it is classified by its NAICS Code.

What happens next:

      The Employer has a new NAICS code on file at the UI agency.

      SUITS adds an Account History note indicating the User made a change to NAICS code.

1. 

Click the Employer Lookup left-navigation menu item from the Internal User Home screen.

SUITS displays the Employer Lookup screen.

 

2. 

Enter the Employer ID (or other identifying criteria) in the Criteria panel.

 

 

3. 

Click the Search button.

The results display in the Search Results panel.

 

4. 

Click the Employer Account ID hyperlink.

SUITS displays the Internal User’s view of the Employer portal.

 

5. 

Click the Account Maintenance left menu item in the Employer Portal.

SUITS displays the Employer Maintenance screen.

 

6. 

Click the Employer Maintenance link.

SUITS displays the Employer Detail Maintenance screen.

 

7. 

Select the NAICS Summary tab in the Other Information panel.

SUITS displays the Employer’s NAICS record within the tab.

 

8. 

Select the checkbox associated with the record.

 

 

9. 

Click the Open button.

SUITS displays the NAICS Maintenance screen.

Select an item from the 1st Classification dropdown menu.

SUITS populates options in the 2nd Classification dropdown menu based on your selection in the 1st Classification field.

Select an item from the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Classification dropdown menus.

SUITS populates options in the Classification dropdown menus based on your selection in the previous Classification field.

 

12.

Click the Save button.

SUITS returns to the Employer Detail Maintenance screen.

SUITS displays the new NAICS record you entered in the NAICS Summary tab.

SUITS adds a History column in the NAICS Summary tab with a link to the NAICS History panel.
