Objective(s):

This process will outline how to access Protest records in SUITS to view as well as update the level and status as applicable due to updates happening in the process in SCUBI.

Before you begin:

A protest record exists in the system

What happens next:

The protest record is updated and saved

1. 

From the SUITS Home screen, select the Employer Services menu item.

Select this icon to go to the Employer Services Maintenance screen.

 

2. 

Select the My Protests icon.

Click this icon to go to the Protest Lookup screen.

 

3. 

Enter in Search Criteria and click the ‘Search’ button.

SUITS brings back all records that meet the search criteria.

 

4. 

Click the hyperlinked Protest ID to open the record.

The protest record is displayed. 

 

5. 

View the information on the screen as well as in each tab.

 

      Protest Information: This section will display the current information on this protest and is also where DEW staff will update information (shown in next step).

      Determination Correspondence: Click the ‘View’ button to open the determination correspondence sent to the employer regarding the initial protest determination.

      Protest Documents: This tab contains the correspondence(s) in which the employer is protesting.

      Supporting Documents: This tab will contain any supporting documents that pertain to this protest.

      Notes: This tab will contain the notes attached to this protest, and also where a new note can be created.

      Protest History: This tab will show the history of this protest’s status(es) and level(s).

6. 

To update the protest, select a Protest Status from the dropdown, as well as the Protest Level from the dropdown as applicable and click the ‘Save’ button.

 

      Protest Status: Select the status of the protest as it reflects in SCUBI.

      Protest Level: Select the level of the protest as it reflects in SCUBI.
