Business Transfer Type |
This radio button selection menu is found in the Experience Transfer Maintenance: Business Transfer Type screen. Business Transfer types include: •Assumed, acquired, purchased or merged business (successor), •Business sold, acquired, merged, or assumed (predecessor), •Change of Legal Entity.

Change in number of employees |
Enter the change in number of employees for the quarter. |
Change in number of employees (as a percentage) |
Enter the percentage of change in number of employees for the quarter. |
Change of Entity |
This is a Reason for Inactivation found on Employer Inactivation Information screen in the Reason for Inactivation drop down. This reason for inactivation of an employer account is used with a business legal name is changed due to an acquisition transfer. |
Change of Ownership |
This is a Reason for Inactivation found on Employer Inactivation Information screen in the Reason for Inactivation drop down. This reason for inactivation of an employer account is used when a business is transferred to a new owner/operator, but the business name remains the same. |
Date Acquisition became final |
Field found on Experience Transfer Maintenance: Acquired By Information. Enter the date in MM/DD/YYYY format or use the calendar icon to select the date for the date the acquired business was merged or transferred to the new owner/operator. |

Rate Year |

Depending on the year selected, the number of rows will vary based on the amount of a year’s worth of taxable wages and charges were used to calculate the rate. Examples— •If 2013: 9 rows/years displayed •If 2012: 8 rows/years displayed •If 2011: 7 rows/years displayed |
Reason for Inactivation |
Drop down menu found on Employer Inactivation Information screen. There are several reasons for inactivation in this drop down menu. The two reasons applicable to process experience transfer are “Change of Ownership” or “Change of Entity”. |
Reason for Reinstatement |
This drop down menu is found on the Enter Additional Reinstatement Information screen. This is where Correction of Acquisition can be selected. |
Reinstate Account |
This hyperlink is found in the Employer Self-Service Portal: Account Maintenance screen. Click Reinstate Account hyperlink to reactivate an inactive account. |
