Manually Assign Rate Maintenance

Purpose: An Internal User uses the Manage Assign Rate Maintenance screen to recalculate an individual employer’s Unemployment Insurance tax rate when a request is received or manually assign a new UI tax rate for an individual employer. An Employer ID and Employer’s UI Contribution Rate(s) for the Year are required to complete a search for the tax year needing a recalculation or assignment of a tax rate. Existing tax rates will show in the search results. If there are no existing tax rates for the employer, the Internal User clicks the New button to manually create the tax rate. To create the new tax rate a Quarter, New Tax Class, Process Code/Reason, and Notes must be selected or entered. This screen can be accessed from the SUITS internal Staff Portal.
